8 x 10 Frame for Hubby - Emma's Throwback Thursday!

So this one is for Emma's Throwback Thursday where we had to make something sports related!

My Hubby is a MAJOR, OBSESSED, CRAZY Miami Dolphins Fan! :o)

He took this picture with the Dolphins Cheerleaders last year during an NFL Draft Party at the stadium and I have always wanted to frame it for him. The photo is about 5x3 and the entire page is 8x10. I still have to go out and get the frame but here is the finished layout! I think it turned out very nice and the most important thing is that he loved it!!!
Base: 8x10
White Photo Mat: 4.5 x 6.5
Orange Photo Mat: 4.25 x 6.25
Football: 3 Birds on Parade
Goal Post: Everyday Paper Dolls
Letters: Plantin School Book

Thanks Emma for being awesome and for challenging us every week! XOXO

Creative Scraps Challenge!

Hello my Friends!!!

So I was asked to be a guest designer for the new Creative Scraps Challenge. Trisha, Cristi and Molly are all part of this challenge and all 3 of them have taken turns making projects this week! They were so awesome!!!

Sundays is the day when everyone gets to join in on the fun and submit a project! So this weeks challenge was to make a Fall card using Paper Doll Dress Up, I dont have this cartridge so they allowed me to use Everyday Paper Dolls. I can't even begin to explain how difficult it is to make a fall card with this cartridge. There is not a whole lot to choose from and none of the accessories have layers. Needless to say this was a big challenge for me but in the end I think my card turned out cute! Hope you enjoy and if you would like to join in on the challenge CLICK HERE!

Random Numbers with Sarah!

So tonight I was skyping with Sarah from liveloveandscrap.blogspot.com and we decided to play a little game. We counted our Cricut Carts and for example, I have 25 so she picked a number from 1-25, and then the Cricut overlays have 5 rows so she picked a number 1-5, and then there are 10 buttons per row so she picked a number 1-10 and you had to use that button! HAHAHA Sounds more complicated than it really is. She ended up picking for me the Hockey Player from Eveyday Paper Dolls! So you can imagine my surprise when of course I dont even know anyone that plays or even likes hockey! I sort of cheated a little and used only the trophy cut! I hope you guys like it!!!
Card Base: A2
Pink Layer: 4 x 5 1/4
Green Polka Dot Layer: 3 3/4 x 5
Scalloped Square: Storybook cut out at 3
Pink Square: 2 3/4 Square
Trophy: Everyday Paper Dolls cut out at 2 1/2

Hubby's Birthday Card and a Small Note!

Hi Everyone!

So my hubby's birthday was today (Monday) and he is a major sports buff! I wanted to make him a sort of custom card because I could not find anything on the carts that I LOVED for him! So this is what I came up with.. What do you think?

I think it turned out soooo stinkin adorable!! He LOVED it! The football is from Everyday Paper Dolls and the hat is from Create A Critter. Hope you like it and I promise to be back tomorrow with a video!

Now for my little note: I have gotten some comments and emails regarding the Cricut Circle and Lite Carts. All I have to say is that we all really don't need everything. I will not buy a cartridge unless I know for a fact I will use it all the time. It's just a promise I made too myself. I do not believe that your talents are measured by the amount of carts that you have. I have seen some AMAZING work from people who only own a few carts. I purchased Hoot N Holler only because of my CRAZY obsession with Owls! I probably will not purchase any of the others only because I can't afford them all. It's human to want them... I have been maintaining my crafting addiction solely on my Etsy shop for a few months now. I save up as much as possible until I have enough to buy what I want. So I guess all I wanted to say was please do not get discouraged because you can't afford all the new things that come out. I own a baby bug and use design studio because I don't have a Gyspsy. I could not be happier and I will continue to make projects and videos for you! Do I want an expression? Absolutely, and when the time comes I will have one.

Much love to all of you!
