Something to Think About...

So this post has nothing craft related but I feel that a lot of you are my friends and we share so much of each other through our work. My Godmother forwarded an email to me today that is about "Life Lessons". I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did.

"During my second month of nursing school, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I read the last one: What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school? Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. Absolutely, said the professor. In your career you will meet many people. All our significant. They deserve our attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello. I’ve never forgotten that lesson.

I also learned her name was Dorothy. Promise Yourself To be strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all of your friend feel that there is something good in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best. To be just and enthusiastic about successes of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the resence of trouble."
